Buttons and Bows

『腰抜け二挺拳銃』の場面を構成した映像。お調子者の歯医者を演じるボブ・ホープ( 当時49歳)が、幌馬車に乗り、顔色を伺いつつ手風琴を奏でながら唄う『ボタンとリボン』。後半は、ロイ・ロジャースも加わって、姐御ジェーン・ラッセル(当時31歳！)の健康的な艶香とまぶしい美脚を楽しめます。衣装のセンスも抜群。いつ聴いても、すぐさまほんわか気分になれる、耳に残る愉しい歌です。

◯作詞/作曲は、レイ・エヴァンス Ray Evans とジェイ・リヴィングストンJay Livingston。

◯1948 年公開の映画『Paleface』(邦題は『腰抜け二挺拳銃』)の主題曲。ちなみに、ボブ・ホープ演じるお調子者の歯医者の役名は、ペインレス・ピーター・ポッター、ジェーン・ラッセル扮するクールな女盗賊ガンマンの名は、カラミティ・ジェーン。徹底的に凝り、圧倒的にふざけています(笑)。

◯日本では、『バッテンボー』として、大ヒットしたとの事。
